Character Profiles
Jay: Represented as a stereotypical 17 year old teenager who wears a cap, tracksuit bottoms, a baggy hoody and trainers. He comes from a working class family and lives in a rough estate. He also had a bad childhood as his step dad use to abuse him, however his mum left him and she is now a single parent. Due to this past he started becoming an attention seeker who smokes and is on the verge of getting kicked out of school because of his bad behaviour, truancy, and bad grades. He is also very rebellious and is the leader of his ‘gang’.
Aaron: A well mannered 17 year old who comes from a middle class family. This is represented through his clothes, as he dresses very smartly who wears; a shirt, cardigan, trousers and plimsolls. Although he has good grades he is easily influenced by others and this results in him falling in to the wrong crowd.
Sean: Another stereotypical 17 year old who follows Jay around as they are from the same estate. He is also from a working class family and is on the verge of getting kicked out of school due to his truancy and continuous bad grades. In addition he smokes and wears a hoody, tracksuit bottoms and trainers.
Tara: A 17 year old teenager girl who lives with her mum and also comes from a working class family. She is an average student who attends school most of the time and is popular amongst her peers. She makes friends with new girl Laila and they eventually end up being best friends. Tara wears a lot of make up, jewellery, leggings, a top, and pumps.
Laila: A pretty 17 year old teenager who has just moved and is new to the area with her parents. She ends up getting involved in to the wrong crowd and befriends Tara and the boys. Laila is a simple girl who wears subtle make up and dresses sensibly by wearing jeans, shoes and a top. She is also very clever and gets good grades but these will suffer due to her new school and friends.
